Fathers are called by God to do so many different things.
They teach us, they lead us, and they provide for us. But above all they love
us, even when we make bad choices they still love us with the same
unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has for us. They are living
examples of our Heavenly Father and they help us to see just a little of what
our Heavenly Father is really like.
Fathers teach us so much, even when we don’t realize it. My
father helped teach me how to walk and I’ve walked around all day every day for
the past twelve years without stopping once! The thing is, our fathers teach us
so much and we take advantage of that way too often. Fathers are not
credited nearly enough for all that they
do for us and they still continue to do that. Why? Because they are natural
teachers and they love us.
Fathers are also leaders. In the scriptures, so many kings
lead not only their sons and daughters but also their whole kingdoms in the
same manner as them. Those kinds like King Benjamin lead their kingdoms in
righteousness and love and everyone was blessed because of it.
“A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised,
unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society today.” - Billy Graham
I’d like to thank all of the fathers who have ever been, are
now, and are soon to come, for all that they do. I know that it is a sacred
calling to be a father and that it definitely isn’t easy but they are so
important to the family. They bring their families so many blessings and will
always love and support them. I know how important it is to have a father in
the home and I am so glad that I have a wonderful dad who loves and cares about
me.

Thank you for your great thoughts. I also think we don't recognize all that our fathers do for us. They are great teachers and leaders. There are so many great men that do so much for their families. So thanks all you fathers!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you expressed your gratitude to fathers. I agree with everything you've written. Thank you for sharing your talent by writing about the amazing role our fathers can play in our lives. I know my dad taught me to drive safely. I am grateful for his patience in teaching me. I love him and my Heavenly Father--another person who has taught me great things. Thanks to all fathers out there!
ReplyDelete"Fathers are not credited nearly enough for all that they do for us…" I agree so much with this statement. As I look back at what my father did for me. I never realized that he worked so hard so me and my family could have good lives. He really dedicated his life to us. Not every father does these things and I should be more grateful to him.
ReplyDeletethank you for your message! I loved this part: “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society today.” - Billy Graham
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with that, of how important fathers are to families and society.
