A Mothers Influence on Her Family
With
Mother's Day approaching, I have been thinking about the Influence my wife has on
our family. I am amazed at her capacity
to do all she does, demonstrating by every action how much she loves the
Lord. I have watched how, through her
love and commitment she has changed each of our lives for the better. As a mother she is such a great example to
our children, showing patience, guidance, and a love for her family that binds
us together. I have witnessed numerous
times the ability of my wife to listen to the promptings of the Spirit, and tenderly
apply those impressions, blessing the lives of our children. Our Heavenly Father has given mothers such a
unique ability to touch the lives of their families. God has granted gifts to mothers that no man
will ever be able to replicate.
Tenderness, compassion, patience beyond any I have and the ability to calm
each of our troubled souls in times of need.
I know that my wife as a mother is more valuable than all the treasures
of the earth, and I thank God everyday for her influence and companionship in
my life.

It seems too often that we, humans of the earth, are a people who are crippled by fear. I myself am no stranger to it. Fear is so common ...

My Mother is also an incredible example to me. She has taught me so much about being a mother myself. I find myself often reflecting on what my mother taught me. I appreciate her example and loving patience with me. Some are not as fortunate as I am, so I'm glad my mother has been such a loving motherly influence on those around her who need that in their lives.
